Last night the MTV Movie Awards aired live. The two hour ceremony really didn’t offer any surprises as Twilight: New Moon swept the awards show. Despite the predictability of almost every award, the MTV Movie Awards are always fun to watch as they are less uptight and less serious than the Oscars. The stars always seem to have more fun. Perhaps the highlight of the show was the censors who allowed quite a few curse words to make it to our television sets at home. As always the show was highlighted by a number of music performances as well as some other surprises. I won’t spoil everything the show had to offer but for a list of winners click the jump.

Twilight: New Moon had a strong presence last night winning five awards. It won Best Movie, Best Male Performance, Best Female Performance, Best Kiss and Global Superstar. The full list of winners is as follows.

Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart (New Moon)

MTV Generation Award – Sandra Bullock

Best Breakout Star: Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air)

Best Scared as Sh*! Performance: Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer’s Body)

Best Kiss: Stewart and Pattinson (New Moon)

Best WTF Moment: Ken Jeong (The Hangover)

Best Villain: Tom Felton (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)

Biggest Badass Star: Rain

Best Male Performance: Robert Pattinson

Best Comedic Performance: Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover)

Best Movie: New Moon

Best Fight: Beyonce and Ali Larter (Obsessed)

Personally I enjoyed the awards, they are always fun to watch and even though films like Twilight: New Moon are sweeping the show, the MTV Movie Awards always manage to entertain. If you want to check out any clips from the show, head over to MTV.
