Here is a look at the monsters of the upcoming Spike Jonze film, Where The Wild Things Are thanks to /Film. Apparently the skateboard company that Jonze co-founded, Girl Skateboards Company, will be releasing a limited series of skateboards featuring the monsters from the film adaptation.
Plot: An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler. More images:
Where The Wild Things Are is definitely one of my favorite childhood books and now one of my most anticipated movies of the year. The design of the creatures looks downright incredible. I can’t wait to see the movie. It is to be released on October 16th, 2009.
