After lending her gorgeous voice to last year’s Tangled, Mandy Moore is set to star in Chris Sparling‘s (writer of Buried) directorial debut alongside Rodrigo Santoro (I Love You, Phillip Morris, Rango).
Currently titled Falling Slowly, the film is a “supernatural drama, about a couple whose apartment is haunted by a dark presence” [Variety].
bgcdshw3b3… Sorry, I fell asleep on my keyboard after typing the above synopsis.
Really? Ghosts in an apartment? No spin? Not even shameless tagged-on kitsch? It lacks the high concept of the remarkably-disappointing (on all counts) Buried, never mind the fact that Moore is significantly less talented than Ryan Reynolds as actor, who demonstrated that he’s not quite the dramatic actor some had hoped. Color me uninterested and indifferent.
Did you enjoy Buried? Are you excited or indifferent towards Sparling in the director’s chair?
