It’s been fun talking about cameos and spoiling secrets, but now it’s time to get official; as part of their 2011 Preview Kit, Warner Bros. Pictures has released an official synopsis and official photo for The Hangover Part II, due next summer [Cinema Blend]. First, let’s gaze at the photograph, shall we?
A simple shot of the principal characters all returning for the second movie; nothing breaking the bank, but it’s pretty nice. Now, let’s run through the official synopsis:
In the follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy “The Hangover,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.
Some interesting developments there, namely the actual reason why they are going to Thailand. Apparently Stu is getting married, but NOT to Heather Graham; instead, he will be marrying an Asian character played by Jamie Chung. However, this just looks like a retread of the original, but in a different location so if you were expecting something different, check those expectations at the door. Oh, and more cameos of course. Can’t have a Hangover movie without a bunch of cameos, am I right? No? Oh.
The Hangover Part II hits theaters May 26, 2011.
Any thoughts on the official plot or picture? Are you still excited for The Hangover Part II even every single tidbit is reported?
