One of the big Oscar contenders this year is Lost In Translation writer/director Sofia Coppola‘s next film, Somewhere. We debuted the trailer earlier this summer and now we have the first clip. It has quite an interesting cast including Elle Fanning, Stephen Dorff, Michelle Monaghan, Benicio Del Toro and Chris Pontius. It was also nice to spot The Office‘s Ellie Kemper in the first clip below. Check it out via Reelz Channel.

Synopsis: Writer/director Sofia Coppola reunites with the film company with which she made the Academy Award-winning hit “Lost in Translation.” Her new film is an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles; Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) is a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning), Johnny is forced to look at the questions we must all confront.

The Playlist has also uncovered the soundtrack for the film. It features music from Coppola’s partner, Thomas Mars, lead singer of Phoenix. He also contributed to the score of the film.
