Besides being two of the most-anticipated films of the year, I’ll admit J.J. Abrams‘ family adventure film Super 8 and David Fincher‘s graphic crime drama The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo have very little in common. What they do have in common, at least for now, is two brand new posters.
Both from IMPAwards, the first we’ll highlight is what I consider to be the best poster yet for Abrams’ blockbuster, hitting theaters this Thursday (that’s right, check your local theater listing. This baby is opening early in some markets). The retro feel encapsulates exactly what to love about this extremely entertaining piece of work. Directed by Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg, the film stars Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, and Amanda Michalka. Next up, we have a poster you definitely won’t be seeing in theaters. After Sony Pictures had a marketing onslaught last week with banners, posters, and an amazing trailer, we finally have the final NSFW hi-res one-sheet for David Fincher‘s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The adaptation stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgård , Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick van Wageningen, Joely Richardson, and you can see it below.
