With summer rapidly passing by, a plus side has reared its head in the form of a new clip from Steven Soderbergh’s first cinematic outing in four years, Logan Lucky — which keeps getting closer to being in our hands as the dates check off. Still, with its release over a month away, this clip gives a wonderful taste of Daniel Craig’s lunatic and precise performance as he talks shop with the two Logan’s (Adam Driver and Channing Tatum) in the visitation room of a prison.

He focuses on the negatives and positives of a heist, but from a technical standpoint, all I see is positives. Soderbergh’s confident cinematic language is as precise as Craig’s delivery, gliding steadily in on Craig and allowing takes to go unbroken so that the performances remain center stage. A low angle on the pair of Logan’s — a technique that often emphasizes power — is thrown on its head, as it only accentuates the slack-jawed duo as they struggle to comprehend Craig’s musings. With this taste, I hope summer flies by.

See the clip below, along with a synopsis a poster, for the film that also stars Katherine Waterston, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Katie Holmes, Seth Macfarlane, Hillary Swank, Macon Blair, and probably ten other notable people I’m missing.

Trying to reverse a family curse, brothers Jimmy (Channing Tatum) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver) set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
