Earlier this year we got news of Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to acting, and then confirmation from the former Governor of California himself. He’s been almost completely absent from movie theater screens since taking the job in 2003. Besides his one scene appearance in The Expendables (and I’m not counting the “digital cameo” in Terminator: Salvation), we haven’t seen anything from the actor.

With his agents now “taking offers seriously” we’ve wondered what his first project will be. We now have our first hint. Speaking at the Arnold Seminar today during the annual Arnold Classic, he revealed what that film could be. The Arnold Fans asked him to elaborate on the scripts he has been sent, and he said the following:

“Well, first of all it’s more [than] 15 films, obvious ones from The Terminator to remakes of Predator and The Running Man and all of those things. Then also a lot of original stuff too. But I am also packaging a Comic Book character right now. I’m going to announce that sometime by the end of March or the beginning of April.”

We know there are more Terminators in store and we just saw a lackluster Predator update. To my knowledge, there are no serious plans to remake The Running Man. These all sound like comfortable choices, but I’m much rather see Schwarzenegger try something new. The “original stuff” sounds appealing, but I’d love to hear what kind of comic book character he has planned. With an announcement coming within a month, we’ll find out soon.

What project would you like to see Arnie take?
