As reported by Variety, Jessica Alba is in talks to co-star in the third installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, Little Fockers. The film will bring back ALL of the main players from the first two films, to which Alba will contribute an additional “key role.”
Eclectic director Paul Weitz is set to direct (he’s got Cirque du Freak in a month) with John Hamburg (I Love You, Man) penning the most recent rewrite of the script.
Alba has been out of the ballgame for some time it feels, surviving flops like Awake and The Eye to fight another day. This writer keeps waiting for her to get out their and show us all the jokes about her talentless beauty are in vain and that she has something to offer. She has a large 2010 slate (see for yourself) and, if this deal happens, a large 2011 one as well.
Here’s hoping for surprises.
