After kicking off a major 2015 with one of the year’s highest grossing films, Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson will return next year with How to Be Single. Taking a more conventional romantic comedy route, the Warner Bros. feature finds her undergoing lessons from Rebel Wilson‘s character after a break-up.
Directed by Christian Ditter, the first trailer has now landed for the project also starring Damon Wayans, Jr., Anders Holm, Alison Brie, Nicholas Braun, Jake Lacy, Jason Mantzoukas, and Leslie Mann. While it’s clearly not being sold to my specific demographic, Johnson proved her comedic chops in 21 Jump Street, so hopefully that continues here alongside a fairly strong cast.
