‘Of Dolls and Murder’ Trailer

Written by , on October 12, 2010 at 7:48 pm

Frances Glessner Lee was a forensic investigator made famous by her odd predilection for composing dystopian dollhouses of mysterious homicide investigations. Her life’s work, a series of dioramas built in the ’30s and ’40s, proved sharply crafted and useful, and continue to serve as teaching tools today.

Now, Jezebel reports this strange but brilliant lady’s Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death will be the focus of an upcoming feature. Fittingly, this offbeat documentary is narrated by oddball auteur, John Waters.

The film directed by Susan Marks and has no set release date yet. You can learn more at the Of Dolls and Murder site.
