Chances are he won’t be called up for George Lucas‘ new Star Wars trilogy, so Harrison Ford is looking elsewhere to line up future projects. He has his dramatic and sci-fi bases covered next year with 42, Paranoia and Ender’s Game, but now the star is gearing up for a promising thriller, The Wrap reports.
Ford is set to team with Zac Efron in a new project from Rob Reiner, which was announced over the summer. Titled You Belong To Me, the Cape Fear-like psychological thriller is written by David Murray and follows a psychiatrist (Ford), who makes the fatal error of sharing his own personal feelings and thoughts with patients.
Said to have quite a twist, he begins to bond with the brother (Efron) of one of his female patients, who committed suicide. When he lets Efron’s James character into his life, he begins to start seducing Ford’s wife and daughter.
Efron has made a clear shift in his career, when it come to a few of his recent projects, including Lee Daniels‘ The Paperboy and Ramin Bahrani‘s At Any Price — and this project looks like another interesting step for the young actor. Reiner’s recent films, including Flipped and Belle Isle have been overtly sentimental, so perhaps this 180-degree turn will provide a much-needed kick for the talented director.
Production is set to kick off this March.
