Although director Ruben Fleischer was confident in shooting a 3D Zombieland 2 next, it looks like he may have time for another film. Deadline reports he is “serious” about shooting the comedy 30 Minutes or Less this summer, with Danny McBride to star. The report also highlights he has been “mentioned” for directing Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 4.

After doing some digging, 30 Minutes or Less was on the 2009 Black List for best unproduced screenplays. Matthew Sullivan and Michael Diliberti wrote the comedy about “a pizza delivery guy on an unlikely caper.” It was previously in development at Red Hour Films, Ben Stiller’s production company.

Diliberti and Sullivan were the duo that pitched the idea for L.A.P.I., getting made by Observe and Report director Jody Hill with McBride to star. Could this be the same project? Check back with TFS for more updates.

With Zombieland 2 not hitting theaters until at least 2012, we could see another project from Fleischer in time.

Would you like to see Fleischer do another project before Zombieland 2? What about Mission: Impossible 4?
