At 64, Sylvester Stallone is at an age where many men are known to retire or write memoirs, but having recently wrapped Grudge Match with Robert De Niro and currently busy penning the script for Expendables III, Sly is showing no signs of slowing down. The actor has once again taken to his Twitter account to keep fans updated on the progress of the upcoming actioner, 140 characters at a time.

This time he confirmed Wesley Snipes as part of the ensemble cast of aging action stars. He wrote, “Wesley Snipes joined the crew tonight and that makes me damn happy.  Hope Snipes brings his A-Game.” The tweet, despite being deleted from Stallone’s account, was in fact confirmed as coming from Sly himself by multiple sources over at AICN. Stallone even followed up with “Wesley Snipes is BACK!!!! … …with US.” While the previous film was certainly an improvement over the first in the franchise, Stallone has high hopes for the third installment.

Today, he once again dropped Mel Gibson’s name as a possible director for the action franchise. Stallone tweeted “Mel is a MAGNIFICENT director! Pure passion on every level . we’d be blessed to have him.. A REAL long shot, but LIFE is a long shot -right?” While no details were given about Snipe’s character, this would mark as a fitting re-emergence into Hollywood and the Demolition Man reunion we’ve always wanted. Snipes would join Jet Li, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone and newcomer Jackie Chan as the third installment of the franchise is being produced by Avi Lerner and is expected to go into production sometime this year.

Would you like to see Gibson direct? Who else would you like to see join the ensemble?
