Liam Neeson-led Unknown was tops at the box office this weekend, nudging out sci-fi flick I Am Number Four. It earned $21.7 million in its opening weekend, barely ahead of the latter’s $19.5 million. Both were gently ahead of Gnomeo and Juliet‘s second-weekend-$19.4 million.

In fourth position, Just Go With It earned $18.2 million, bringing its two week total to $60.7 million. In fifth place, there was a surprise performance by the cringe-worthy Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. Somehow, that movie brought in $17 million, providing substantial evidence for the forthcoming apocalypse.

In sixth position, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never earned $13.6 million in its second weekend, totaling $48.4 million.

Next week sees a showdown between matrimony-bending comedy Hall Pass and Nicolas Cage action flick Drive Angry. I predict that Hall Pass will be the big winner, as Cage‘s star-power at the box office has faded over the last few years.
