While some may have watched the leaked trailer from New York Comic-Con for Fede Alvarez‘s upcoming Evil Dead remake, Sony is letting loose the official one tomorrow and they’ve released a short teaser to amp up excitement. Providing our first actual footage, we’ll wait to comment on quality until the full one arrives, but we’ve also got an interview from last week’s convention with Bruce Campbell, as well as the full panel.

Ash himself won’t be returning (nor another iteration of his character), but he stuck by as producer for the film, along with Sam Raimi) and basically delivered a three-minute sales pitch to curious fans in an interview with Machinima (via /Fim). He dives into the reasons behind creating a remake, how the tone will be very different and more. Check out all three pieces of video below for the film starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore.

Synopsis:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Evil Dead arrives on April 12th.
