We have a few musical treats for you today. The first is a glimpse at the opening dance number for The Muppets featuring Jason Segel. The film recently had its first showings in Los Angeles to outstanding reviews and while I’ve never been a diehard fan of this franchise, coupled with Martin Scorsese‘s fantastic Hugo hitting theaters the same day, it looks to be the perfect family-friendly double feature.

Sigur Rós‘ concert documentary Inni is also seeing a release this month, as well as screenings across the country, and we have over 25 minutes from the film to check out. I adore Vincent Morisset‘s style shown here and can’t wait to pick this one up. If you missed it, we reviewed it at Vancouver International Film Festival, where we said, “the ghost-like, ethereal quality of the visuals mixed with the otherworldly sounds can captivate in their intensity as well as carry you to another plane of existence. Let the music wash over you, enjoy the religious experience on screen, and convert all your friends into lovers of uniquely original music.” Check out The Muppets number and performances of Svefn-g-englar, Festival and Ný batterí below.
