In early January, we got our first look at Pedro Almodóvar‘s new film, The Skin That I Inhabit. Now, The Playlist has debuted four one-sheets for the film, the rest of which can be seen below. To be sure, these posters represent the grim nature of the story, which is adapted from Thierry Jonquet’s 2005 novel Tarantula. The novel’s synopsis, as described by Amazon, follows “Richard Lafargue…an eminent plastic surgeon haunted by dirty secrets.”

This is clearly not usual territory for Almodóvar, which is precisely why, to me, the project is so enticing. Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Jan Cornet, and a handful of other reputable performers make up the cast for Almodóvar‘s film, which, according to the report, could be looking at a competition slot in this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Are you looking forward to Almodóvar’s latest?
