It’s already been seen in other countries in full, but with a staggered U.S. release for Lars von Trier’s two-part Nymphomaniac, it can be slightly confusing for audiences. To recap, Nymphomaniac: Volume One is on VOD now and in theaters on March 21st, while Volume Two lands on VOD on March 20th and is in theaters on April 4th. To highlight the release of the latter, Magnolia Pictures have now let loose the first U.S. trailer for the last half.
After a cliffhanger with Volume One, this picks up with the story of Joe’s adulthood, where her journey of self-discovery leads to darker complications. With Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, Stacy Martin and Shia LaBeouf returning, Volume Two rings in the arrival of Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Mia Goth and Jean-Marc Barr. Judging by this new preview, there’s definitely a darker side to the story that’s yet to be unveiled. Check it out below.
