I like Nick Swardson, I really do. His small role as Terry in Reno 911! always had me in stitches and he looks funny in the upcoming 30 Minutes or Less. There are, however, some films I will never understand the love for. Grandma’s Boy has somehow become a cult hit in my circles, and I’ll never get it. His next big role comes from one of the writers (Allen Covert) of that film and is directed by The Hot Chick‘s Tom Brady.

Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star is also written by Adam Sandler and Swardson, and we have our first trailer. Frankly, it looks like a complete disaster. I didn’t laugh once at this preview about Swardson searching for his destiny in porn, but those Grandma’s Boy may appreciate it more than I. The comedy also stars Christina Ricci, Don Johnson, and Stephen Dorff. Check out the trailer below via Sony Pictures’ YouTube page.
