While I was mixed on it overall, one can’t ignore the indie charm of Colin Trevorrow‘s Safety Not Guaranteed. Featuring Parks & Rec star Aubrey Plaza along with Mark Duplass, it is a fairly predictable dramedy, but with fleshed-out characters and some fun moments.

We’ve got the first trailer today via Apple and one can watch our full video review from Sundance here. Highlighted in the trailer for this time-travel adventure is Jake Johnson, my personal favorite performance of the film, as he delivers a few of the funniest lines. Overall we called it “a diverting experience that is easy to go down, but with little impact felt,” which is the vibe given off in this trailer, seen below.

Together, they embark on a hilarious, smart, and unexpectedly heartfelt journey that reveals how far believing can take you.
