You can’t handle the truth! 24 Frames is reporting the stars of the 1992 hit A Few Good Men may team up again for Dan Goor‘s new action comedy El Presidente. Jack Nicholson has “been made an offer” by WB and Tom Cruise is already attached to the project.
The film would follow “a dedicated Secret Service agent assigned to protect a bumbling and degenerate ex-president.” It sounds like a normal mismatched buddy film, but the duo would actually “be on the run together when a threat is made on the life of the ex-president.”
The Wrap reported earlier this week that the studio has bought and will develop the script. It sounds like a harmless, fun blockbuster and their last pairing with Rob Reiner was one of my favorite films. With no deals in place, nothing is set in stone but I’d love to see them reunite.
