Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck took home the Oscar for The Lives of Others in 2006 and as per usual, he got a bigger offer. His latest film is The Tourist, a spy thriller starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. I was surprised at the playful tone from the trailer, equipped with Muse. I loved The Lives of Others, so I’m definitely looking forward to this one. It also stars Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell and Timothy Dalton. Check out the trailer below via Yahoo.
Plot: Frank is an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Venice, Frank pursues a potential romance but soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.
The Tourist hits theaters December 10th.
