I loved Richard Ayoade‘s directorial debut Submarine so much at Toronto International Film Festival (video review here), that I had to see it again during Sundance. The inventive, heartwarming feature takes what could be a sappy love story, and turns it into a hilarious look at youth itself. I had the opportunity to sit down with the writer/director of Submarine in his first roundtable interview ever. The man also just wrapped up an episode of Community and made it to Park City in time for this interview and then was off to the premiere. He shared details on the music, cinematic influences, and much more. View it below.

Submarine hits UK theaters in March and then a summer US release via The Weinstein Co.
