Apple has premiered the second trailer for Phillip Noyce’s Salt which stars Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The script was written by Kurt Wimmer (Law Abiding Citizen, The Thomas Crown Affair) and Brian Helgeland (The Taking of Pelham 123, L.A. Confidential). Check it out below or in HD over at Apple.
Plot: Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is a CIA officer who swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. When she is accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy, Salt goes on the run to clear her name and ultimately prove she is a patriot. Using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative, she must elude capture and protect her husband or the world’s most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence.
I like this trailer a lot more than the teaser we got a few months back. Coming from the guy that gave us Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, I’m pretty excited.
Salt hits theaters July 23rd, 2010.
