Pop star Rihanna has joined Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch in Peter Berg‘s Battleship for her feature film debut, Variety reports.
Universal is planning to start the production shortly on the film “which takes place across the seas, the skies and over land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force. Kitsch stars as a Naval officer who leads the fight and Skarsgard will play his brother in the film.”
The report provides no information on Rihanna‘s role in the film, but my gut reaction is not strong. Maybe she could be one of the aliens disguised as naval workers.
Battleship is set for a May 25, 2012 release.
