After debuting at Sundance back in early 2010, Magnet Releasing has picked up and will finally release Eli Craig’s horror comedy Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil this fall. Starring Tyler Labine (Reaper) and Alan Tudyk (the Firefly star most recently seen in Transformers: Dark of the Moon), as well as 30 Rock‘s Katrina Bowden. Based on this new red band trailer, it looks like a pretty fun ride. I’m getting a big Shaun of the Dead vibe, which is always a great thing. Check it out below.
Synopsis:
Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, are headed to their “fixer-upper” vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin’, and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale’s vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse.
Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil will hit VOD in the end of August, before a short theatrical run beginning late September.
