As Julia Louis-Dreyfus works with Fox Searchlight on a remake of Force Majeure, the director of the original, Ruben Östlund, is also quite busy on preparing his follow-up. Titled The Square, the film follows an ambitious museum director (Claes Bang), who is preparing to make a major impact with a new exhibit.

Variety lets us know that Elisabeth Moss has also joined the project, playing a reporter who is on the beat of the exhibit, meant to provide people with “a symbolic space where only good things can happen.” Things escalate and get wildly out of hand (it is an Östlund film, after all) when the PR firm in charge come up with some far-reaching publicity plans.

The Square can be interpreted as an allegory of how society works today. It seems that we’re getting more and more individualistic and we tend to see other adults as a potential threat. Overall, we’re less inclined to feel responsible for one another,” Ostlund says. In a post-Mad Men world, this is yet another compelling project for Moss, after continuing a relationship with Alex Ross Perry, starring in Ben Wheatley‘s High-Rise, and currently shooting season two of Top of the Lake alongside Gwendoline Christie.

Production for The Square is set to begin this June in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Berlin.
