Director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal, behind this year’s fantastic Iraq War drama, The Hurt Locker, are set to reteam again. Boal and Bigelow are producing along with Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Steve Alexander. The script is set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge — making “la triple frontera” difficult to monitor and a haven for organized crime.
The Hurt Locker is one of my favorite films so far this year. I’m very intrigued at another project between these two and this ensemble piece sounds great. Check out our exclusive interview with them for The Hurt Locker.
Triple Frontier is hoping to go into production next year.
