Coming off of one of last year’s best performances in 45 Years, Charlotte Rampling has just signed on to writer-director Lisa Langseth‘s latest drama Euphoria, which will be her English-language debut. Deadline reports Rampling will join cast members Eva Green and Langseth-regular Alicia Vikander, who is also producing through her new company Vikarious. The story focuses on two sisters (Green and Vikander), traveling towards an unknown destination in Europe while in conflict. No more information is currently known about the film, which has plans to shoot in the German Alps this August.

The projects will not be adaptations of Christie’s work, but instead examinations of her life. Sony’s project, titled Agatha Christie, would focus on the titular character (Vikander) crossing paths with the likes of Sherlock Holmes and Winston Churchill as she rejects the traditional housewife role. On the other hand, Paramount’s Agatha would dramatize what happened to Christie (played by Stone) during the 11 days she went missing in 1926. Considering both films need approval from the Christie estate first before they can receive a green light, we’ll have to wait and see which gets off the ground first.

Thanks to Deadline, we now learn Beasts of No Nation‘s break-out star Abraham Attah has been cast in the film in an unspecified supporting role. Lastly, How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor is once again stepping behind the lens for his third directorial outing with The Leaves, a sci-fi drama from Lionsgate, THR reports. After his Sundance hit happythankyoumoreplease, Radnor followed it up with Liberal Arts, which was released four years ago. Now, he’s back with what looks to be a bigger project, one shying away from comedy but still rooted in drama and romance. The Leaves follows a man transported to an alternate universe who must convince the love of his life they are meant to be, despite her not knowing who he is in this new world. Christopher Kyle (Serena) and first-time writer Kevin J. Walsh penned the script, with a later draft done by Radnor. The film is still casting with no shooting dates announced yet.
