Cameron Crowe loves music, and the sun has been rising and setting everyday for the past year. Crowe, who was a former writer for Rolling Stone, has always been a supporter of making music a vital part of his films. The next project to be built from his mind and a memoir apparently won’t be any different.

GordonAndTheWhale report that in a recent interview Matt Damon, who is set to appear, sat down with MTV and told the press that “when [Cameron Crowe] gave me the screenplay, it came with music…a lot of Eddie Vedder, a lot of Neil Young.” Now the thing that makes this intriguing is how those two artists would come into play in this movie.

We Bought A Zoo is a film based on a memoir written by Benjamin Mee. It follows a story about a man named Mee who, after the passing of his wife, moves with his family into a zoo. I know I can see Vedder and Young being in the right place with this flick. Considering the themes that they sometimes sing about, especially someonelike vedder, who knows about getting through a family tragedy.

The film is also set to include Scarlett Johansson, Thomas Haden Church, Elle Fanning, Patrick Fugit, and Angus MacFadyen along side Matt Damon. It’s set for a December 23rd, 2011 release date.

Do you think Vedder and Young would make a good contribution to this movie? Are you excited for this film?
