After a quick teaser, Kevin Smith has released a red band trailer for his upcoming horror actioner Red State. We saw the film at Sundance, where I thought it was a huge step above Cop Out, but still repetitive without much to say. Smith has since edited it and will release the film briefly at the end of next month. I’m interested to see what this new version brings for the film starring Michael Parks, John Goodman, Kevin Pollak, Melissa Leo, Stephen Root, Kyle Gallner, and Michael Angarano. This latest trailer gives a good sense of the split that occurs in the film, with the first half being horror and the second heading into full-on action territory.
