After a double dose of disappointment with Iron Man 2 and Cowboys & Aliens, Jon Favreau has circled a number of projects in recent years, with the now Clint Eastwood project Jersey Boys, a Ryan Reynolds-led racing thriller, and even a Magic Kingdom film. We’ve now got word of another potential project from Variety and one that sees him on the independent side.
According to the trade, Favreau is looking to write, direct and star in a comedy title Chef. The talent would play our “emotional” title character, running a Los Angeles restaurant. Hopefully this will be the rejuvenating spark that the director needs and we can see him in Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street later this year, but before that he’ll return for Iron Man 3 and one can see four clips from Shane Black‘s film below, amounting to around three minutes.
Iron Man 3 lands on May 3rd.
