Coming off his his spring hit Think Like a Man, Tim Story is gearing up for his next project — one that sees him reteam with a variety of his recent collaborators. The comedy Ride Along already brings along his Man star Kevin Hart and his Barbershop lead Ice Cube, and now Variety reports another addition.

John Leguizamo has joined the ensemble, which follows a meek second-grade teacher (Hart), who before getting married, has to go through a “a Training Day-like” ride-along with his fiancée’s brother, a tough cop (Cube). With a recent draft by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay (Clash of the Titans, R.I.P.D.), Leguizamo takes the role of an undercover cop.

After a string of fairly run-of-the-mill roles, I greatly look forward to seeing Leguizamo in Ridley Scott‘s The Counselor. Also appearing in Kick-Ass 2, hopefully this project will showcase the comedic side of the actor, something that likely won’t pop up in his Cormac McCarthy adaptation.

Are you looking forward to this project?
