Jennifer Lawrence, who is set to follow up her Oscar-nominated turn in Winter’s Bone with 2011 appearances in Jodie Foster‘s The Beaver and Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class, will also soon be appearing in House at the End of the Street — a low-scale horror-thriller directed by Mark Tonderai — that has just received an official release date of February 3rd, 2012. Scripted by Eduardo Gordon and David Loucka, House at the End of the Street will also feature Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas and, more recently, Piranha 3D), Max Thieriot, Gil Bellows, and Jonathan Malen. The film’s synopsis is described as follows:
The compact little thriller tells the story about a new kid in town who unearths a dark secret about the new home in which she lives. It turns out it was the home where a double murder took place, and even stranger, she’s befriended one of the survivors of the incident.
In 2012, Lawrence will also be featured in The Hunger Games, Gary Ross‘ (Seabiscuit) adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ widely popular novel.
