If you are experiencing a slight sense of deja vu, do not be alarmed. Yes, the 2014-bound Godzilla already had a Comic-Con panel and a teaser poster was already released, but this year, Warner Bros. is doing it all over again. Instead of attaching a trailer with their Godzilla-inspired Pacific Rim, the studio is instead headed to San Diego to tease the film.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, coming off his accomplished small-budget Monsters, it’s hard to ignore the possibilities of this new adaptation, with a strong cast of Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. IGN have now debuted a new teaser poster, which signals at some major destruction and one can check it out below, along with a message from Edwards himself.

Godzilla opens next May.

What do you think of the new poster? Are you looking forward to Edwards’ take?
