Are you a diehard Ghostbusters fan, and potentially have some modicrum of acting talent? Then have I got some news for you! According to Cinema Blend and Feature Film Auditions, the producers behind Ghostbusters 3 have begun casting, with an eye to get all the roles filled by Spring of next year. And while they are looking for bigger names to go along with the original four (or three, if Murray doesn’t end up doing it), they also want some younger unknowns. Yes, that’s right, that means YOU have a shot to be in the third film of the franchise and finally prove to your friends that all the time you spent in the mirror re-enacting scenes with your plastic proton pack was for a purpose instead of just really REALLY creepy. Head over the Feature Film Auditions site to see what you need to do to submit yourself into contention (headshots, resumes, etc.). I’m sure they want actual thespians, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t try to get you guys in on the casting action.

In addition to you, there have been reports of Bill Hader, Anna Faris and Will Forte joining the cast, but nothing has been confirmed.

Ghostbusters 3 begins production May of next year for a Christmas 2012 release. Ivan Reitman will be returning to direct and Dan Aykroyd is behind the script.

Are you pumped for Ghostbusters 3, and more importantly, who’s down for a road trip to Los Angeles and/or Chicago to audition?
