One of the most sure-fire bets for the Cannes Film Festival was the next project from the talented Belgian duo of Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne and, sure enough, their follow-up to The Kid with a Bike was announced this morning. Deux Jours, Une Nuit (translated to Two Days, One Night) follows Marion Cotillard as Sandra, a woman who has a weekend to see colleagues and convince them to give up their bonus so she can keep her job.
The first trailer has now dropped, which unfortunately doesn’t have English subtitles, but gives us a first glimpse at the highly-anticipated drama. Check it out below, along with a French poster and new stills, for the film that will be getting a U.S. release by Sundance Selects hopefully before the end of the year.
Update: See a subtitled version below and our review here.
Are you looking forward to the next film from the Dardennes?
