It seems like every other day we are posting about a new Steven Spielberg project, but that is what happens when the director decides to ramp up his output. Spending the last few years serving mostly as executive producer on films, he has gotten back in the director’s chair, with The Adventures of Tintin and War Horse both hitting theaters this December, followed by Lincoln and Robopocalypse the next few years.
Today we have the first theatrical poster for his WWI drama and sure-fire Oscar contender War Horse. The glossy look from the first teaser is carried over here and it looks like a strong prestigious picture from DreamWorks. Check out the poster below via EW and the teaser if you have yet to see it.
Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, The Hobbit), Patrick Kennedy (Atonement), Tom Hiddleston (Thor), Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Niels Arestrup, Eddie Marsan, and Peter Mullan all star. Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and Richard Curtis (Pirate Radio) adapted Michael Morpurgo‘s novel-turned-stage play.
