Today we have two first looks at upcoming films. The first is for Ralph Fiennes‘ directorial debut, a modern update of Shakespeare‘s Coriolanus. The original told the story of a heroic Roman general who rebels against the Empire. The “edge-of-the-seat” thriller also stars Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave and Brian Cox. In the pictures (via The 30 Ninjas) you can see Ralph Fiennes in the lead. I was reminded of The Hurt Locker and Green Zone and it’s no surprise this film has the same cinematographer, Barry Ackroyd.
We also have a first look at set of Matthijs van Heijningen‘s The Thing prequel, which just began production. The film stars Joel Edgerton and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
