Although he’s been sliced from Life of Pi and The Great Gatsby has been pushed to next summer, a Tobey Maguire film will still find its way to some select theaters this fall. Premiering at Sundance back in 2011, The Weinstein Company picked up Jacob Aaron Estes‘ dark comedy The Details for a wild $7.5 million, and now with almost two years gone by, are finally getting ready to release it.

While an official trailer will likely make its way online soon, we’ve uncovered a hypnotic unofficial teaser cut by Estes himself, who must have loved the Coens‘ trailer for A Serious Man. This one actually gives off an excellent vibe, better than any wide-demographic official one might bring. Filled with raccoons, a screaming Laura Linney and the craziest use of a piano I’ve ever seen, it’s very much worth watching. Check out some new stills (via IMDb) above and below, along with the unofficial trailer for the film also starring Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Haysbert, Kerry Washington and Ray Liotta. And read our nearly two-year-old review here.

The Details arrives on November 2nd.
