Tom Hardy has had quite a rise to fame. After appearing in Band of Brothers and Star Trek: Nemesis nearly 10 years ago, he has finally entered the prime spotlight. Recognized by his knockout performance in Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Bronson, the actor has is our new Mad Max, in George Miller‘s new addition to the franchise.
He was also recognized by Christopher Nolan, who gave him one of the best roles in Inception, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s partner, Eames. With Nolan’s sequel to The Dark Knight filming this April in New Orleans, we have all been curious about casting. Deadline is now reporting that Nolan has found a lead role for Hardy in his next Batman film. They are “keeping the role secret” although we can assume it is a villain.
Hardy can next be seen in Let The Right One In director Tomas Alfredson‘s next film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy as well as the McG action/rom-com This Means War with Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon.
