Seemingly one of the sleeper hits at Sundance Film Festival this year, the world finally got our first look at Alexandre Moors‘ chronicle of the Beltway sniper attacks, Blue Caprice, with the debut trailer premiering last week. Now ahead of its release next month, word has already come in regarding the director’s follow-up project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moors is set to helm a script from previous collaborator Ronnie Porto titled Cannibal. While not many specific details are known, the film is described as a “surreal crime thriller set in the world of illegal organ trading.” There’s also no word yet on when production will begin, but it’ll be backed by 1984 Private Defense Contractors, who have previously worked on Killing Them Softly and The Grey.

As we await more information, check out our review of Moors’ latest, which we said “features two fantastic performances from Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond, playing the infamous criminals Allen Muhammad and Lee Malvo (respectively).” We added, “the film strives to capture an uncomfortable mood with a fascinating and haunting portrait that will leave you conflicted regarding the meaning behind a meaningless crime.”

Are you looking forward to Blue Caprice? What do you think of this next project?
