Robert Rodriguez‘s Machete was a bore. While initially delivering on its exploitation premise, it wasted much of its time on a dull political plot line and never really fulfilling the promise of its Grindhouse trailer. The best scene involving intestines and a hospital window was already shown in the trailer as well. Thankfully, someone cut out all the crap and presented it all in a more unique, engaging format; a stop-motion short. Featuring voice work by Machete himself, Danny Trejo, view the Lipton Brisk ad below in today’s Daily Distraction. It also features a lot more hand-washing, an important lesson not conveyed in the 105-minute original, which hits Blu-ray today.
