You have your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Uncharted 3 and Skyrim, but what goes into making indie videogames? Just like the subsection of filmmakers scrapping it together to make independent features, the same phenomenon happens in the videogame industry. Filmmakers Lisanne Pajot and James Swirsky have combined both and created Indie Game: The Movie.
The documentary got announced for World Cinema Documentary Competition at Sundance Film Festival 2012 and we have the first trailer, clips and images.. I’ve only checked out the former in order to wait to see the full thing, but it looks like an in-depth, interesting look at a world I’ve never experienced.
