This year’s Sundance brought documentaries surrounding two recording studios in two very different towns. One in Alabama, surrounded by thick ponds and dirt roads is chronicled in Muscle Shoals. The other surrounded by Hollywood, deep in the valley gets profiled with Sound City. Reviewed here, we much preferred the former to Dave Grohl‘s film and now it’s coming to theaters.

Directed by Greg Camalier, the first trailer and poster for the film has landed today, which previews our story following manager Rick Hall as he created an iconic place where some of the world’s top hits were made. The birthplace of classics from Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, The Staples Singers, The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Simon and Garfunkel and more (with a few appearing in this preview), check out the trailer and poster below.

Muscle Shoals opens on September 27th.
