Few film franchises are as ingrained in our culture as Pixar’s Toy Story. The debut film from the popular animation studio was a major gamble, being the first full-length computer-animated project, but as we can see now, the John Lasseter-directed animation set a precedent in Hollywood. Following two successful sequels, Buzz Lightyear and Woody have now returned, but in quite a different format. After being worked on for well over two years, Jonason Pauley and Jesse Perrotta have finally completed their live-action recreation of the original Toy Story.

Running a full 80 minutes, its an impressive work and one that will hit the nostalgic button for anyone that grew up with the series — while many of us may have played with the toys, I applaud this duo for actually going to the lengths they did with this creation. Approved by those at Pixar themselves, check it out below thanks to Gizmodo, and we sincerely hope the creators take a break before thinking about recreating the follow-ups, or any other film from the studio for that matter.

What do you think of this fan film? Would you like to see more of its kind?
