While his sensibilities don’t seem to be clicking with Hollywood, the talented Mark Romanek is thankfully still producing content and today brings his latest work, a collaboration with Jay-Z. Inspired by Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, the duo went to New York’s Pace Gallery, where the rapper did what he does best (or perhaps just one of things) for six hours, performing his single “Picasso Baby.”
As onlookers gathered, what results is a lively ten-minute piece, with about five minutes including the actual performances, followed by an extensive credits sequence. Featuring Judd Apatow, Jim Jarmusch, Michael K. Williams, Rosie Perez, Alan Cumming, Taraji P. Henson, Girls stars Adam Driver and Jemima Kirke and hundreds of others, check out the results below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
