After beating out 15,000 other hopefuls for the Coen Brothers‘ lead role in True Grit, 13-year-old Hailee Steinfeld went on to nab a Best Supporting Actress nomination this year at the Oscars. With her breakout role as Mattie Ross, where does the young starlet go from here? Well, Paramount Pictures obviously crafts a “star vehicle” for the 14-year-old.

Deadline reports they just closed a deal for the right to Cat Patrick‘s Forgotten. The novel doesn’t get published until June, but Steinfeld will play “London Lane, a 16-year old whose memory is erased at 4:33 every night. The following morning, all she can remember are events from her future. After meeting a new boy at school, London becomes frustrated that she can’t seem to find him in her memory of things to come.”

No other details are known at this point, but it is refreshing to see Steinfeld take on a more interesting project than a certain other breakout star of 2010. (*cough cough*)

What do you think about this project for Steinfeld? Do you like the concept?
