Spending his time for a decade-and-a-half working alongside Johnny Depp with Pirates of the Caribbean, Rango, and The Lone Ranger, director Gore Verbinski is finally returning to the horror genre early next year with A Cure for Wellness. Led by Dane DeHaan, Mia Goth and Jason Isaacs, the first trailer has now arrived.

Backed by a cover of The Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Sedated,” it shows off the story of a CEO who heads to a treatment center in the Swiss Alps. As seen in the various unsettling imagery in the trailer, things are not what they seem. Verbinski looks to be having a great deal of fun, and it might do him some good working on a smaller, hopefully more inventive scale here.

Check out the trailer and teaser poster below.

An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure. From Gore Verbinski, the visionary director of THE RING, comes the new psychological thriller, A CURE FOR WELLNESS.
